My son is turning 2 in one month and I have not seen anything worth buying at the store. He loves balls, cars, and books about balls, cars and animals. Has anyone seen anything that is somewhat good? Also where did you see it at and about how much?

My son LOVES cars, trucks, balls and books as well. One of his favorite books is "Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!" and "Bananas!"..He loves the because he can participate…In Don’t Let the Pigeon….the pigeon asks to drive the bus and we both tell the pigeon "Noooo!" and in Bananas…well that is the only word in the book…and I make up a story about bananas and he will say "bananaaaas" before we turn the page.
With cars…anything he can drive or push around is fine with him. My son is turning two soon as well…and we are trying to think of good presents as well…tryin looking at powerwheels or little tricycles or things like that…that is the way we are leaning towards. Also we have an radio flyer wagon with all terrain tires so we can take on hikes and to the zoo….He loves it and we do too!

I’m trying to help my fiance find gifts for his groomsmen. He doesn’t want anything too generic like the pocket knife (a few of his buddies already have really nice ones) or a flask or cuff links.

3 out of 4 of his friends are engineers, the 4th is a medical program - if that helps at all?

Nothing over $50 either.

You don’t have to get them all the same gifts - you could get each of them something different, but in the same price range.
Or - what about tickets to a sporting event? Maybe you could buy them tickets so they can all go to a game together. You could put the tickets in a small cooler with some beer, snacks, etc.
Other than that, a gift certificate to their favorite store is always a great gift. This way they can pick out whatever they like.

My mother -in-law is just graduated with a degree in Special Education, and is preparing for a new job at a local elementary school. Is there something we (my husband, myself and our 2 yr old son) could get personailized for her that would also be helpful in the classroom? (examples: Stationary that says from the desk of Theresa, a custom rubber stamp, etc)

My parents are celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary -we are giving a surprise party in their honor. What is the appropriate decorations, colors and gifts for this year?

Maybe a margarita candle?, its like a gel candle but in a margarita glass….any ideas would be awesome.

I need to get 3 gifts for girls participating in my wedding. One is in 11th grade (cousin), one in college (future sister-in-law), and one 25 and married (current sister-in-law). I've browsed a lot of websites and just can't think of anything that would be meaningful and nice for them! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Most trade fairs are a good start because all the big boys of the industry are present at these fairs. You will pick up a lot of information on the spot as well as sources you can use at a later date. Don’t forget to contact the Small Business Development Corporation, particularly if you live in Victoria.

I currently am at the financial state where I want to start giving back. However, i physically want to give the gifts to the kids, does anyone participate in something like this? I would liek to go to an orphanage or a childrens hospital in the Ohio area.

You can try contacting the United Way or local churches. Toys for Tots just collects the toys and they have them out, they don't let you do it. You could also contact an orphanage or children's hospital and ask if there is a group already helping them at Christmas; if so, get the contact info and join them, if not, why not organize something yourself? Good for you for wanting to make a difference!
